Intensive Moscow's Attacks Cut Electricity In Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have caused blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced disruption to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the Group of Seven - in delivering defensive weapons and applying restrictions," he wrote in a online statement.

Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from local officials.

Local officials said the urban area came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child was killed and several individuals were hurt.

The strikes follow nights of air raids in the area, portions of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to identify.

Authorities told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the national power system, with attacks already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were bracing for additional strikes.
