19 of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player secured his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging season, managing just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in especial - caused him exiting of the top ten and ultimately splitting with former mentor Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Moutet.
This marks his initial championship following the Rome competition and maiden on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
Success also signifies the Russian has achieved twenty-one titles at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"For the first time I am participating in a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a title is particularly special," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his previous six finals, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving approach and frequent outbursts on court had caused commentators to question if his ability to compete at the elite level was finished.
Yet the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and play assertively, backed up by an better serving game.
The champion came back from a break down in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, securing four of the last five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his first professional title, gained dominance to create a third set.
He saved 4 initial chances in a competitive final set before the Russian won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured the win with a shot at the net area, with his opponent failing to control a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
